finally i've finished my 3 months internship at Pullman Hotel & Resort Kuching on Monday. thanks to Pullman Kuching for letting me have my internship there. thanks to those who taught me lotsa things. i have made lotsa frens there :D
through training was tiring, but i do enjoyed myself in some departments for example housekeeping and laundry department :)
on my last second and last day of my internship, i went to look for some of my frens and took photos wif them.

2 days to go . then i am done wif my internship ! my last department is Front Office Department. first and second days were totally BORED ! sitting inside the operator room, and only observed them how to answer internal and external call. made me so sleepy (z___z)
today is my second day in reservation office. the reservation manager gave me works to do. that's GOOD ! :D Front office manager love to SWING her mood. that's not good.

room service & The Peak

my days in room service were just relaxxxx :D sometimes i help to clear trolley from guest room and if i saw any room assistant was making up room, i will help them a hand before i go bek to room service department .
after room service, i went to The Peak , the executive lounge which located at 22nd floor of PullMan Hotel. room service is relax but The Peak is BORING T________T is like my shift start from 12pm to 8pm. and within 12pm to 5:59pm, errr u wont see more than 10 guests within those hours . cocktail hours start at 6pm, till 7pm. the team leader and captain , Tania and Ismail were very friendly. they taught me lotsa things. and i see sunset while im in The Peak. awwwww the sun was soooooo damn nice !

time passed so fast . i've been doing my internship for two months edy. one more month to go :)SEGi exam week start on Monday. i have my Banquet Management paper on the first day :D and i think i am doing quite well on it LOLs . one more paper on Saturday which is Event and Convention Management. tats da subject i worried the most ! :( sighh really hope i pass tis subject tis sem :(

F&B deaprtment

ok finally i've finished my first department which is Housekeeping Department in my internship site. currently am in F & B department. for the past 4 days , i were in Puzzle Restaurant where they served buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner for guests. talk about Puzzle Restaurant, the restaurant's captains and assistant manager weren't friendly to me :( but the manager Mr Rasdi is NICE ! :) i din learned much new thing there, all the things tat they taught me, i've dy learned before last time while am working part time at BCCK .
i still remember first day i was in Puzzle , when i have my lunch break, i rather sit wid maintenance department staffs than the puzzle staff
yesterday was my off day, and i realized i almost spent most of my off days wid Miss Karen Tung :D
done wid Puzzle Restaaurant , and tis morning was my first day in room service. nothing much to do there. kinda free. and made me felt sleepy aikkks .
i MISS housekeeping and laundry department soooo much ! i miss my laundry department friends. i miss da Kuching night view from PullMan 23rd floor. i miss Kak Odi coz most of my days in Housekeeping , i followed her :(

nothing to talk about anymore =.=''' and tis post is weird coz i usually blog wid lots photos . but tis time not :(

Laundry Department

hai hai ~ here i am again to talk a little about my internship life . i was in laundry department for one week .


while i am still housekeeping at Public Area, my kakak brought me to pantry after we done our work, but it's still early, and she took out her phone and watched TV1 =.='' somehow i think kakak-s are rich lor.

whole week in laundry department, my shift was from 8am to 4pm . see da photo above. every morning we got around 5 full full of tat kind of trolleys of bath towels, bath mats, hand towels, bathrobes etc .... to fold o.O''

bathrobes that haven't been tied yet .

erm i think tat machine call "ironer" ????? blahh duno lah . it helps to iron pillow case, napkin, bed sheets, duvet cover etc ...
and yay i LOVE all da laundry staffs (sorry not da female staffs lol)
they were friendly and fun. their age is between 20 to 30 years old . so fun to talk wid them. one or two of them can speak simple Chinese words such as "xiao jie" , "ni hao ma" , "wo ai ni" , "ni jiang shen me" and some others ... one of them even know Hokkien's bad words XDD

last time i owes tot hotel laundry department only help to wash guests dirty clothes, but actually laundry department also wash and iron staffs uniforms. laundry department plays important roles in hotel also. coz if they din wash and iron the uniforms , wads the staffs going to wear lei ?

i like da dessert , is either Green Bean wid sago soup or Barley :) so nice .

and this was wad happen few days ago, one of the lift rosak. =.= right after our briefing, jam in front of the lift. we waited for so long for our turn to go up . but now , they repaired edy :)

now, i am bek to become room assistant again. i can make bed quite well edy. and i am very happy wid tat. :DDDD but still not as pro as those kakak.
two more months to go ~ ~ ~
today is last class of Banquet Management . exam weeks start on 9th MAY. next semester enrolment on 11th , 12th and 13th MAY. new semester coming soon. awwwww soooooo fast eyyyy .

Housekeeping

today is my 14th day in Housekeeping Department. i was in the coordinator room for two days only. i cant tahan the boredness ! so i asked kakak to bring me to become room maid. i was really bad in changing the duvet cover for the first few days. few days later i can did quite well but ........ took long time ! especially the king duvet cover. duhh . felt sorry to those kakak who lead me. by the time , they finished cleaning room washroom, im still doing the duvet cover. but still, need to say THANKS to them. they taught me a lot :DDDD now no more be a room maid, work at PA now.

since yesterday until tomorrow, which is Monday, my shift was 7am - 3pm . @__@ i have to drive to work. woke up around 5:30am in da morning. sobx when was the last time i woke up tat early huh ?! then go to work before the sun rise .

working at Public Area aka PA ain't tat bad though. "catch snake" is a "must" for every kakak i guess ??????? XD after early briefing, start to work around 7:15am . then in between 8am to 9am, kakak will said "jom pergi minum" XD then we went to cafeteria, and i have my favorite hot beverage, hot tea ^^

Kuching is a beautiful city and has awesome view if u were standing and watch from PullMan Hotel 23rd floor. damn ... really nice u know. one side of the view, i can see my college and sometimes can even spot my friends walking from college to Hills XD they were soooo tiny. while the other side of the hotel , i can see SMK Kuching High, my secondary skol lol. i saw student clear classroom's rubbish bins in pair. it reminds me and my secondary friends.

talk about today . it was really soi ! after our lunch , i followed my kakak to DeJa vu. and i do da moping. couldn't describe well wad happen actually. in short, the pail tat fill wid water, fell and drained. wtf. and hey DeJa Vu is located at the hotel lobby. wtf again. so embarrassing and so awkward !! and fell 3 times CONTINUOUSLY after my kakak and I dried the floor. again, WTF!
i hate myself for being so clumsy and careless :(

never ask me bout tis ! felt ashamed to meet my kakak tomorrow :(

about my internship

is my off day today tats y i am sitting in front of my laptop and do blogging . it's been my fifth day of my internship. i am currently in housekeeping department. ohh in case u duno where is my internship site, is PullMan Hotel :D
first week i was in the housekeeping coordinator. i observed them to answer phone call from guests, room assistants and staffs from other department especially Front Office department. i also helped to arrange the lost and found item. i found lotsa hp chargerssssss , shirts , pants , books etc ... and liquor , Black Label !!! if the lost and found items did not been claimed by the guests for 6 months, then after 6 months , those items will belong to the one who found them. and the one who found Black Label, really untung lor !!!!!!
the executive housekeeper , Madam Novia , aka Ibu, which means mother in English. all the housekeeping department staffs call Madam Novia as Ibu. yay, she's the mother of Housekeeping Department.
woke up around 6:30am every morning since my internship started. sometimes i'll had lunch wid Darren, Jia Zhen, Heng Chiat, or Kharunisa. we hardly meet William. he's in F & B department.

meal card. consist of 31 dates on it. each time before we take our meal we had to punch the date of tat day.

my locker ! :D luckily my locker is at upper part haha ! i dont like if it is the bottom part.

this is my name tag. "I AM LEARNING ELSIE LEE" and it sounds like i am an object @__@

i also helped to count stock. cards, pencils, pens, brown sugar, coffee ... ... ... zzzzzzz sooo damn bored u know !

the cafeteria food was not bad. it's just my first week in the hotel tats y i think is not bad. and i guess next week the cafeteria food menu will start repeating ??? lolz
